Guidelines
Welcome to the WOW Pune Community! Our mission is to provide a platform for peer-to-peer interaction where you can learn, build connections, and stay informed.
1. Be Respectful
Do not engage in harassing, bullying, or threatening behavior, and do not incite others to engage in these activities. Treat others with respect.
When in doubt whether a remark may be offensive to someone, don’t post it. Keep in mind that our community spans the whole globe, and what is acceptable to you may be offensive to someone else. Always err on the side of caution. As a general guideline, keep all your interactions respectful and professional.
Acting in an abusive way may result in an immediate ban from WOW Pune platforms with or without warning.
Remember, you are talking to another human—our members have varying levels of technical knowledge and they may not be writing in their first language. If you need more clarification, just ask nicely.
2. The Best Ways to Connect
Search before you ask. Someone else may have already found the solution you're looking for.
Use the right channels. Keep technical discussions in tech channels and event queries in help desks.
Be Descriptive. Include compelling titles and context. Summarize your question as best as you can.
Give Feedback. Respond to those who help you. A simple "Thank you" or a reaction goes a long way!
3. See a problem? Flag it.
When you see bad behavior, don’t reply. Just flag it or reach out to a volunteer/moderator and we will review and take action. To maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content or user for any reason.
4. Links & Titles
Links to external resources must be relevant. Standalone links with no explanation may be removed. Avoid misleading or clickbait titles—your titles must convey accurate information about the content.
5. Quality over Quantity
Topics must be clear, concise, and related to technology, innovation, and community events. We do not condone low-quality or repetitive content. Avoid impersonating other people or brands.
6. Use of Generative AI tools
It is NOT OK to over-rely on genAI because it may lead to generic responses or miscommunication.
- Use genAI only to supplement your own original thoughts.
- Do not use genAI to answer questions outside of your expertise.
- Using genAI to generate harmful or offensive content will lead to an immediate ban.
7. No Spam & Stay Safe-for-Work
Do not create spam posts, surveys, or commercial solicitations. We are a Safe-for-Work and Family-Safe community. We don't allow sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or shock-value content.
Be careful not to share confidential information (like personal keys, private roadmaps, or non-public data) in public groups.
